call came in 6:05PM, left no message on the answering machine.

They call almost every day--sometimes as early as 8:00 on a Sunday morning or as late as 9:30 on a week night. I have to turn my phone off every night to avoid being woken up by these pests. I never answer the phone when they call and they do not leave a message. I am on the national no-call list and do not undertand why these people are pesetering me. They are a menace and should be stopped.

This number appears to be the National Sex Offender hotline. It's set up to allow sexual predators to call people and harass them over the telephone rather than attack a child on the street. In order to keep these deviates away from children, it is suggested that you "talk dirty" to them when they call. The expression of extreme vulgarity satisfies their desire for sexual release.
